The main objectives of this project:

  • Select an automated ultrasonic NDT toolkit for implementation of the repairing robot
  • Gather measurement data of blade construction, to be used for training and validation algorithms
  • Develop automatic navigation for the repairing robot on the blade
  • Develop automated damage detection system based on evaluation algorithms
  • Test and validate system performance on actual turbines
